Taipei: The Central Election Commission (CEC) has introduced a new website designed to assist eligible voters in finding their designated polling stations for the upcoming recall elections scheduled for July 26. These elections target 24 Kuomintang (KMT) legislators and the suspended Hsinchu Mayor Ann Kao.
According to Focus Taiwan, the website allows voters to search for their polling stations by district, village, or neighborhood. Once a location is selected, the website provides the address of the designated polling booth along with its precise location on Google Maps, streamlining the process for voters.
In addition to launching the website, the CEC has released a comprehensive list of the upcoming elections. This includes statements detailing the arguments for and against the recall motions, providing voters with essential information to make informed decisions. Televised presentations are also scheduled to occur between July 16 and 25, offering further insights into the recall motions.
The CEC has announced that the results of the recall votes will be made public on August 1, allowing voters and officials to understand the outcomes promptly.
