President Tsai Ing-wen says the Company Act will be revised to make life easier for businesses. Tsai was speaking Friday while meeting with local business leaders.
Tsai said the government has already mapped out policies to promote innovation and attract investment as it seeks to restructure the economy. Tsai said the amendment, once passed, will make it easier to start a business by getting rid of outdated restrictions.
The president also said the government will strengthen e-commerce, embrace regional economic integration and introduce smart-based pilot programs aimed at the food, tourism and logistics sectors.
Tsai said the government will take steps to expand the market, increase efficiency, reduce investment risks and stabilize investment returns. She said now is the best time for businesspeople and investors.
