With northeasterly winds weakening, daytime temperatures in Taiwan have started to climb gradually and the chances of rain are decreasing, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
Starting Friday, the weather will improve, with the mercury rising to 27 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan and 30 to 31 degrees in central and southern parts of the country, the CWB said.
The good weather will last until Monday, with highs of 27-28 degrees northern Taiwan and above 30 degrees in central and southern Taiwan.
During that period, the temperature will be comfortable and suitable for outdoor activities, the bureau said.
The next high pressure cold wave is expected Tuesday, bringing brief showers to northern and eastern Taiwan, which is a typical weather pattern when northeasterly winds are prevailing, the CWB said. '
