Taipei--Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp. (THSRC) announced Friday that it has expanded its partnership with EVA Air to offer passengers from southern Taiwan a free shuttle service to the high speed rail station in Taoyuan.
Travelers flying to Europe, Australia, New Zealand or North America on EVA Air and commuting on the high speed rail from southern Taiwan will now be eligible for a free return train service to Taoyuan, the company said in a press release.
The exclusive deal is reserved only for passengers commuting from Kaohsiung, Tainan and Chiayi to Taoyuan and flying with EVA Air or China Airlines, which has partnered with THSRC since July.
According to the THSRC, it has previously been offering a 20 percent discount on its high speed rail tickets for travelers who purchase flight tickets from EVA Air, UNI Airways, China Airlines, Mandarin Airlines and China Eastern Airlines.
