Intel CEO scheduled to arrive in Taiwan on Wednesday

Intel Taiwan on Tuesday confirmed news reports that CEO Pat Gelsinger will arrive in Taiwan on Wednesday, but declined to share details about his schedule.

The visit will take place concurrently with the "first tool-in" ceremony at the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) Arizona plant and is set to be attended by TSMC Chairman Mark Liu (???), CEO C.C. Wei (???) and U.S. President Joe Biden.

A spokesperson from Intel said Gelsinger would not meet with TSMC executives on his visit.

Unnamed sources in the information and communication technology industry said that Gelsinger would likely meet with Intel's industry chain partners, mostly PC and server manufacturers such as Acer and Quanta Computer.

Gelsinger first visited Taiwan in his capacity as Intel CEO in December 2021.
