NA Chairwoman begins official visit to India

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan left Hanoi on Thursday to visit India at the invitation of Senate President Mohammad Hamid Ansari and Speaker of the Lower House Sumitra Mahajan.

The visit aims to deepen the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation in anticipation of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 10 anniversary of their strategic partnership next year, and boost relations between the Vietnamese and Indian legislatures, laying a foundation for long-term bilateral ties amid Vietnam's greater international integration.

Following the visit, Chairwoman Ngan will lead a NA delegation to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the 11th Global Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament slated this Sunday at the invitation of President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Saber Chowdhury and President of the Federal National Council of the UAE Amal Al Qubaisi.
