NT$19 uniform invoice wins Jan-Feb NT$10 million special prize

Taipei, A NT$19 (US$0.65) receipt for a snack food product is among the lucky winners of the NT$10 million special prize in Taiwan's latest uniform invoice lottery, according to a statement issued Monday by 7-Eleven convenience store chain.

One customer won the special uniform invoice lottery prize of NT$10 million in the January-February period after purchasing a NT$19 snack at a 7-Eleven store in New Taipei, according to the convenience store chain.

The statement came after the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced the winning January-February uniform invoice lottery numbers following the draw on Sunday. The winning number for the special prize is 21735266. Evey uniform invoice with that number receives a special prize of NT$10 million.

7-Eleven said it issued three uniform invoices during the two month period that won the special prize and two others that won the NT$2 million grand prize for the number 91874254.

One of the three special prize winners purchased a snack priced at NT$19 from its Guoting store in Banqiao District of New Taipei, while another bought a fresh food product for NT$25 at its HSR Zuoying store in Kaohsiung and the third purchased a fresh food product priced NT$58 at its Yuanjia store in Yuanlin, Changhua.

Meanwhile, supermarket chain PX Mart also announced that it issued one invoice that won the NT$10 million special prize, and one that won the NT$2 million grand prize.

Another convenience store chain FamilyMart said it issued one invoice that won the NT$10 million special prize and one that won the NT$2 million grand prize.

In addition, a paperless uniform invoice that won the additional NT$1 million prize, awarded exclusively to e-invoices, was issued by FamilyMart to a customer who purchased a bread product for NT$25 at its Jintai Store in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei.

The Ministry of Finance said that to claim their prizes, winners must take the winning receipt and their ID card to any post office by July 5, 2018.
