Taipei--Thirty-eight-year-old pop star Jay Chou (???) will soon be the father of a baby boy, less than two years after his wife Hannah Quinlivan, aka Kun Ling (??), gave birth to their first child Hathaway.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Chou wrote: "On Valentine's Day, it is time for Mommy's lover in her previous life to arrive. Have a wonderful Valentine's."
In Taiwan and other parts of the Chinese-speaking world, a daughter is spoken of by some doting fathers as their lover in their past lives. By the same token, a son is sometimes referred to as a mother's former lover.
The post came with a picture of a grinning Mrs. Chou in a bikini top showing a baby bump, with the singer pointing a thumb to her belly.
The couple announced Quinlivan's first pregnancy in 2015 in the same way -- by posting a picture on Chou's Facebook page. Chou had married the model and actress of Australian and Taiwanese-Korean descent three months earlier.
Chou announced the birth of their first child, a girl, in July 2015, without saying the exact date of her birth.
Chou, who writes his own music, is one of the top earners in the Chinese pop music world and has starred in several movies, including his Hollywood debut "The Green Hornet" (2011) alongside Seth Rogen and Christoph Waltz.
