RTI signs agreement with Dominican media

Radio Taiwan International has signed a cooperative agreement with a number of media outlets from the Dominican Republic.

A signing ceremony on Thursday was attended by the Dominican ambassador to Taiwan, Jose Miguel Soto. RTI chair Lu Ping called the signing an important milestone for Taiwan's broadcasting. She said, "Today I am very honored that the ambassador can be here to witness the signing of our agreement with the Dominican media delegation. Looking forward, there will be many opportunities for cooperation. These will expand the vision of RTI or even all Taiwanese media, and we also hope this cooperation will bring a deeper understanding between our two countries."

Ambassador Soto affirmed the influence of RTI's programming and said the station represents an important platform in the Dominican Republic.

RTI's Spanish-language programming reaches millions of listeners in Latin America and the Caribbean, where a number of countries are Taiwan's diplomatic allies.
