Taipei--The weather around Taiwan will get a summery feel on Saturday and Sunday due to warm air brought by a southerly wind and a lack of moisture over the island, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
Clear and sunny skies are expected during the weekend, when maximum daytime temperatures could reach 30 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan, 32 degrees in the central and southern regions, and 28 degrees in the eastern part of the island, the bureau said.
On Monday and Tuesday, a weather front will approach Taiwan and bring showers to the northern and eastern regions, according to the CWB.
With the front and northeasterly winds strengthening on Wednesday and Thursday, areas north of central Taiwan will continue to see showers or even thunderstorms mid-week, the bureau said.
But temperatures will remain warm, with the highs in the lower to upper 20s, depending on where you are in Taiwan.
