Taipei-The trend of warm, sunny weather continued across Taiwan on Tuesday, but the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said a weak cold front will bring rain to the country starting Thursday.
According to CWB forecaster Cheng Chuan-fang (???), the weather will be sunny and stable on Tuesday, with daytime highs of 24 to 25 degrees Celsius forecast for northern, central and eastern Taiwan and highs of 24 to 27 degrees for the south.
A weak cold front is expected to arrive in Taiwan sometime on Wednesday afternoon, bringing with it increased clouds to northern and eastern Taiwan, he said.
This, combined with northeasterly winds and moisture from the south, will result in rain across the country on Thursday, he added.
Rain can be expected from Thursday to Saturday before the winds and moisture dissipate, resulting in sunny weather for the remainder of the weekend, Cheng said.
