Taipei--A delegation assembled by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will depart Thursday for Fujian Province in China to participate in a trade fair, a TAITRA spokesman said Wednesday.
Some 120 Taiwanese companies will be represented at the annual Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade, displaying their products and technology at 288 booths, the spokesman said.
The displays will include agricultural products, cultural and creative goods, home supplies and cosmetic and biotechnology items, according to the spokesman.
Taiwan's participation is part of TAITRA's 2017 plans to expand into the China market by attending trade fairs and professional exhibitions, organizing promotional groups, promoting premium products, establishing product distribution channels and exploring business opportunities for e-commerce services, the spokesman said.
The annual Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade, the largest of its kind in China, will be held May 18-22 at the Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center in Fuzhou City.
