Taipei-Temperatures in Taiwan are expected to rise slightly Monday as a continental cold air mass gradually weakens, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
While mostly cloudy skies are forecast in the greater Taipei area and eastern Taiwan, partly cloudy to sunny weather can be expected in areas south of Taoyuan, the bureau said.
Daytime highs on Monday will reach 18-19 degrees Celsius in Yilan and areas north of Taoyuan, 20 degrees in the rest of northern Taiwan, and 23-26 degrees in Taitung and central and southern Taiwan, according to the CWB.
As the continental cold air mass will continue to weaken on Tuesday, daytime highs will rise further to 21-23 degrees in Yilan, Hualien and northern Taiwan, and 23-26 degrees in Taitung and central and southern Taiwan, the bureau said.
Temperatures, however, will remain chilly at night and in the early morning, with lows of 14-15 degrees expected in northern, northeastern and central Taiwan, the CWB said.
