Taipei, Tigerair Taiwan announced Friday that it will launch direct flights to Cebu in the Philippines from Dec. 1 to tap into the growing travel exchanges between the two countries.
The Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport-Cebu route will operate four flights a week, the budget airline said, adding that Cebu will be its first destination in the Philippines.
An outbound flight will depart from Taoyuan at 10:35 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with return flights departing from the newly renovated Mactan-Cebu Airport at 2:30 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
With the new route, Tigerair Taiwan will be operating 27 routes from Taiwan to the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Macau and Thailand, it said.
