The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) will hold a series of investor conferences for foreign-incorporated firms which have launched a primary listing in the local equity market, in a bid by the TWSE to boost investors’ understanding about these companies’ fundamentals, according to the exchange.
Starting from Aug. 22, the TWSE, which operates the local main board, will kick off five investor conferences, featuring these foreign incorporated firms in a wide range of industries, such as the electrical engineering, shipping, biotech/medical care, food, electric cable, electronic components, as well as retail and construction sectors, the exchange added.
The TWSE said that the management of select foreign incorporated firms will meet investors during the meetings to brief them on the companies’ financial conditions and industrial outlook.
The exchange said that such investor conferences are expected to boost the transparency of these foreign incorporated firms and provide investors with clues on how to arrange their investment portfolios.
On Aug, 22, the first conference will highlight the Yeong Guan Energy Technology Group Co. (??), which specializes in the production of spheroidal graphite cast iron and alloy cast iron products.
According to the TWSE, Yeong Guan, which generates sales from customers in the energy, machinery, automotive and medical care sectors, posted NT$5.28 in earnings per share before tax in the first six months of this year.
The second conference is scheduled for Aug. 23 and will focus on shipper Wisdom Marine Lines Co. (??), and automotive component supplier Patec Precision Industry Co. (??). The TWSE said that Wisdom recorded NT$1.65 in EPS before tax in the January-June period, while Patec, which has set up production centers in China, Indonesia and Hungary, registered NT$2.07 in EPS before tax.
The TWSE will hold the third conference on Aug. 25 to introduce biotech firm Pharmally International Holding Co. (??) and juice supplier Sunjuice Holdings Co. (??).
Pharmally’s EPS before for the six months of this year stood at NT$6.76, while Sunjuice’s hit NT$4.13.
The fourth meeting is scheduled for Aug. 26 to highlight home appliance maker Airmate (Cayman) International Co. (???), radiator and condenser supplier Enterex International Ltd. (??), and printed circuit board producer Zhen Ding Technology Holding Ltd. (??).
Arimate’s EPS before tax for the first half of this year stood at NT$2.22, Enterex’s reached NT$2.52, and Zhen Ding’s hit 0.78.
Representatives from children’s garment supplier TOPBI International Holdings Ltd. (??), precision sheet metal stamping services provider Lemtech Holdings Co. (??) and property developer Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd. (??) will meet investors on the fifth conference scheduled for Aug. 29.
TOPBI posted NT$8.67 in EPS before tax in the first six months of this year, Lemtech recorded NT$0.16 in loss per share, and Sino Horizon registered NT$0.76 in EPS before tax.
