Taiwan could see much warmer weather on Saturday thanks to a weakening cold air mass, with mild temperatures expected to continue into next Tuesday, when chances of showers start to increase, the Central Weather Bureau said.
Highs on Saturday might reach 21 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan, 25 degrees in central Taiwan and 26 degrees in southern Taiwan, according to forecasters.
Cloudy to sunny skies are likely throughout Saturday, with still warmer weather forecast through early next week, the bureau said.
Between Sunday and Monday, maximum temperatures could hit between 26-28 degrees islandwide, it said.
However, showers are possible from Tuesday in northern, eastern and mountainous areas in central Taiwan as moisture around the island increases, the bureau said.
