The current warm weather will persist until Tuesday afternoon, when weather across Taiwan is forecast to turn cooler and wet, with the day's low expected to dip to 18 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
According to the Central Weather Bureau, temperatures across the country will begin to fall Tuesday afternoon when a wave of northeastern wind is likely to come close to Taiwan.
For Sunday, the day's high in the greater Taipei area and eastern counties of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung will range between 27-29 degrees and the mercury could climb above 30 degrees in central and southern Taiwan, the bureau said. At night, the temperature will hover between 19-22 degrees across the country, it said.
At the same time, there will be brief showers in mountainous areas in northern and eastern parts of Taiwan, while the weather will be sunny in the rest of the country for the day, according to the bureau.
