Taipei-Taiwan can expect slightly warmer and drier weather on Tuesday as the seasonal northeasterly winds weaken slightly and moisture over Taiwan decreases, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
Daytime highs on Tuesday were forecast to rise 1-2 degrees from the previous day to 22-23 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan, 26-27 degrees in eastern Taiwan, and 28-30 degrees in central and southern Taiwan, according to the bureau.
It said the rain in northern Taiwan would also start easing from around noon Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the weather will continue to warm up, with daytime highs reaching 23-24 degrees in the north, 25-27 degrees in the east, and 27-29 degrees in the central and south, the bureau said.
Another wave of seasonal northeasterly winds, however, will move into the country late Wednesday and remain until Friday, during which time the mercury is likely to fall to 16-17 degrees in northern Taiwan, and 19-20 degrees in southern and eastern Taiwan, according to the CWB.
