Taipei--After a summer-like day Sunday, the Central Weather Bureau said Monday that changeable weather is in store for Taiwan until Friday, with lows expected to dip to 13 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan on Wednesday.
The edge of an approaching weather front brought rain to northern Taiwan early Monday and more rain was expected Monday evening, when the front itself arrives, the bureau said.
Any precipitation Monday would likely occur in northern and eastern Taiwan, with regions south of Taichung seeing a bright and sunny day with highs ranging between 28 to 31 degrees.
In northern and eastern Taiwan, highs could still reach 25 to 26 degrees but from Tuesday onward, weather around Taiwan will be wet and chilly under the influence of a cold air mass.
Temperatures are expected to drop to their lowest levels early Wednesday, when open coastal areas in the north could see a low of 13 degrees.
The weather is expected to improve Friday, with sunny weather in the forecast for next weekend.
