Five receipts with the NT$10 million (US$334,359) special prize-winning number 46438476 were issued for the government's May-June uniform invoice lottery, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) reported Monday.
According to the MOF, one of the five winners was for the purchase of a NT$15 chocolate cake at a FamilyMart convenience store in Taipei's Zhongshan District, while another was issued by a PX Mart supermarket in Tainan to a customer who spent NT$240 on food and mouthwash.
The three remaining NT$10 million-winning invoices were for food purchases at outlets of the convenience store chain 7-Eleven, two of which were in Taichung and one in Changhua County.
Meanwhile, three receipts with the NT$2 million grand prize-winning number 54769852 were also issued, the MOF said, one at a PX Mart in Hualien County and two at 7-Eleven stores in New Taipei and Chiayi City.
The May-June lottery prizes can be claimed between Aug. 6 and Nov. 7, 2022, according to the MOF.
Taiwan's uniform invoice lottery started in 1951 to increase the issuance of receipts and clamp down on tax evasion by businesses.
