The health issues, notably prevalent in the northern and northeastern regions, include conditions leading to deafness, prompting medical experts to advise the public to ensure pork is thoroughly cooked. According to Thai News Agency, medical professionals are emphasizing the critical need for proper food handling practices. They advise that any equipment used in the preparation of raw pork must be distinctly separated from that used for cooked pork to prevent contamination. This advisory aims to mitigate the spread of infections that have resulted in a concerning number of fatalities attributed to the consumption of undercooked pork. The health authorities are particularly focused on educating communities in the affected regions about the risks and preventive measures.
