Kim In-kyung, a seven-time LPGA winner from South Korea, announced her retirement Sunday following her final round at the AIG Women's Open in Scotland. The tournament's official X page delivered the news after Kim finished her play at the Old Course at St Andrews. She shot a three-over 75 on Sunday to finish at 11-over 299 overall, 81st among 82 golfers who made the cut. Kim, 36, had been playing on the LPGA Tour since 2007. She went on to capture seven titles, including her lone major at the 2017 Women's British Open, the former name of the AIG Women's Open. The British title also ended up being her final LPGA victory. Kim is known for her close call at the 2012 Kraft Nabisco Championship, also a major championship. On the 72nd hole, she missed a one-foot par putt for the win and instead ended up in a playoff with fellow South Korean Yoo Sun-young. Yoo ended up winning the tournament, and Kim didn't win again until October 2016.
