Metropolitan Police Bureau arrests 'White Taklee', an online scammer who has committed many frauds. The latest incident involved posing as Police Lieutenant Jae to trick people into buying Metropolitan Police Bureau shirts. The victim was found to have believed him and was about to transfer money because he liked Police Lieutenant Jae. Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradej Thamsuthee, Commander of Investigation Division, Metropolitan Police Bureau, ordered officers to track down and arrest Mr. Narongrit or White (surname withheld), 30 years old, a suspect with two arrest warrants from the Criminal Court in a case of fraud against citizens and importing distorted or forged computer data, in whole or in part, or false computer data into a computer system in a manner likely to cause damage to citizens in the areas of Thung Song Hong Police Station and Rayong Police Station. The perpetrator has been pretending to be 'Police Lieutenant Jae' and has been committing fraud online for several years. He has excellent skills in d eceiving people to 'follow the trend' of society smoothly until he was arrested by the Technology Crime Suppression Division 1 police officers on February 26, 2022. He was arrested on 2 arrest warrants after impersonating an IT department of a college and defrauding many people of their money for vaccination. After being arrested by the officers, he was released on bail and is currently fighting the case. He continues to deceive people, developing his methods such as posing as a pharmacist and joining a drug sales group, deceiving people into selling Andrographis paniculata, and deceiving people into selling lottery tickets from the Government Lottery Office Plus. Currently, he has 2 more arrest warrants. He also committed a wicked act of 'swindling officials', imitating the movie Catch Me If You Can, when a group of police officers went to White's house to arrest him, but he made a scene claiming that he had already been arrested, which distracted the officers. Before taking advantage of the moment when he w as not paying attention, he escaped from the house. Recently, the Metropolitan Police Investigation Unit raided the accommodation of a hotel in the area of ????Tambon Takhli, Amphoe Takhli, Nakhon Sawan Province. While arresting him, he still used the same trick, trying to trick the officers that he had been arrested. But the Metropolitan Police Investigation Unit did not fall for the trick and arrested him immediately. When the officers checked his mobile phone, they found that he was pretending to be Police Lieutenant Jae and was about to trick the victims into buying shirts. Initially, Mr. Narongrit stated that 'Regarding the sale of vaccine quotas, he admitted to creating a new Facebook account and announcing for people who wanted to get vaccinated to come and post with him, but later he did not receive the vaccine, which led to the victim suing him. In this case, legal action has already been taken. Later, regarding the scam of selling Andrographis paniculata, a new Facebook account was created at the s ame time as the vaccine case, and the herbs were not delivered to the buyers. In the most recent case, he impersonated Police Lieutenant Jae and was about to trick his fans into buying shirts, but was caught first.' After the arrest, the investigation was expanded and he was taken to the Makkasan Police Station for further legal action. Source: Thai News Agency
