“Big Tai” announces multiple drug seizures, arrests over 300 suspects

'Big Tai' joins the Metropolitan Police in announcing the arrest of several cases of methamphetamine, arresting more than 300 suspects, seizing assets worth more than ten million, and confirming that there were no old batches of drugs brought to the press conference. Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police and Director of the National Narcotics Control and Suppression Center, along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran Nuanma, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, and officers jointly announced the arrest of 5 drug cases. The first case in the area of ??the Metropolitan Police Bureau Division 1 was on August 13, when 4 suspects were arrested along with 170 kg of crystal methamphetamine, worth approximately 20 million baht, and a personal MG car worth 413,000 baht was seized. The arrest was made in Mueang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan Province. The second case in the area of ??the Metropolitan Police Bureau 3 on August 14th, arrested 1 suspect with evide nce of 23,419 methamphetamine pills and 157 grams of ice. Later, the investigation was expanded and 2 more suspects were arrested with evidence of approximately 1 kg of ice in the area of ??Bueng Kum Police Station. The third case in the area of ??the Metropolitan Police Bureau 8 on August 18th, arrested 1 suspect with evidence of almost 4 million methamphetamine pills, 150.8 kg of ice, 97 kg of ketamine, and 1 motorcycle used for drug delivery. The arrest was made at a residence in Chonburi Province. Case 4, the Crime Suppression Division, on August 20, arrested two suspects with evidence of 1.2 million methamphetamine pills hidden in a Honda CRV sedan. A search of the house found more than 2.5 million methamphetamine pills, totaling more than 3.7 million methamphetamine pills. In addition, the suspects confessed to hiding methamphetamine pills in a car parked in Soi Ratchada 10, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok. They went to search the car. After that, they found evidence of approximately 1.6 million methamph etamine pills, 3 kg of ice, 38 rounds of .36 caliber bullets, and a car. In addition, the suspects also packed ice in cosmetic boxes, such as facial mask packets, lipsticks, and others, before sending them to customers to deceive the officers. Case 5, area of ??Phetkasem Police Station, Metropolitan Police Bureau 9, on 21 August, searched and arrested the suspect along with seizing items which were considered illegal or obtained illegally. When arriving at the house, the suspect was found inside the house, so the court's search warrant was shown. From the search, 41,200 narcotics, 723.04 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 56.12 grams of heroin were found hidden in a wardrobe in the suspect's bedroom. Pol. Gen. Kittirat added that in the drug arrest and suppression operations since August 13 until now, 216 targets, 41 networks, 332 suspects were arrested, more than 9.5 million methamphetamine pills, 331 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 97 kg of ketamine were seized, and assets related to the crimes worth mo re than 12 million baht were seized. The results of the operation were satisfactory because they exceeded the expected targets. There was cooperation with the ONCB and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) to seriously seize the assets of the offenders. In the case where society is suspicious that the drugs that were brought to the press conference are old drugs that have been circulated or not, Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran said that every time there is an arrest, these drugs come with the suspect.
