Cheil Worldwide Inc on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net income of 65.3 billion won (US$47.3 million), up 0.1 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 88.2 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 84.7 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 12.2 percent to 1.08 trillion won. The operating profit was in line with the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
