The Mae Hong Son District Chief warned people to be prepared for floods and mudslides after 81 millimeters of rain fell in the northern part of the district. In the city of Mae Hong Son, at Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, soil subsidence occurred. The Deputy Governor of Mae Hong Son Province has assigned the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization's Engineering Division to divert the water to prevent further subsidence and to use machinery to adjust the soil slope to reduce the steepness and prevent landslides. He has also assigned the Mae Hong Son Provincial Public Works and Town and Country Planning Office to coordinate with experts to inspect the s oil structure and adhesion for safety.
