Taipei: Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. announced that its subsidiary Visionbay.ai has commenced commercial operations of a 5-megawatt AI cluster, utilizing Nvidia's HGX B300 systems. The company reported that over 90 percent of the cluster's capacity is currently in use.
According to Focus Taiwan, the AI cluster marks the largest installation of its kind in Taiwan and has received Nvidia's Exemplar Cloud validation. This certification for AI training infrastructure positions Visionbay.ai among the first 10 organizations globally, and the second in Asia, to achieve this recognition.
Visionbay.ai, specializing in supercomputing centers and cloud-computing platforms, noted a shift in AI infrastructure demand. The focus has moved from merely owning graphics processing units (GPUs) to implementing systems that can support commercial applications reliably. This change is attributed to the fast-paced evolution of generative AI, agentic AI, and other multimodal foundation models.
Unlike conventional GPU cloud services, Visionbay.ai offers a platform with integrated tools for AI model training, fine-tuning, inference, and AI agent deployment. Looking to the future, Visionbay.ai plans to expand its AI infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. This expansion will leverage Nvidia's Blackwell and Vera Rubin platforms and Hon Hai's expertise in AI hardware, infrastructure, and software.
