Hon Hai to Showcase Electric Vehicles and Automotive Electronics at CES 2025

LAS VEGAS: Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. is set to make a significant appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, showcasing its latest advancements in electric vehicles and automotive electronics. The event, scheduled to open on January 7, 2025, will feature a delegation from Foxtron Inc., Hon Hai's joint venture with Yulon Motor Co., displaying self-developed electric vehicles.

According to Focus Taiwan, Hon Hai's presentation will include automotive electronics from its subsidiary, FIH Mobile Ltd., which specializes in wireless communications and consumer electronics. While Hon Hai Chairman Young Liu will be in the United States to meet with key customers during CES, it remains uncertain if he will attend the trade show.

In recent developments, Hon Hai has introduced several electric vehicle models, including the Model D hybrid SUV and the Model U mid-sized bus in October. Previously, the company unveiled the Model C SUV, Model E sedan, and Model T e-bus in 2021, followed by the Model B urban car and the Model V pick-up in 2022, and the Model N electric cargo van prototype in 2023. For the North American market, Foxtron plans to customize the Model C, with further details to be announced once the client is prepared for public release.

Hon Hai's participation at CES is part of its broader "3 plus 3" strategy, aimed at diversifying beyond traditional contract manufacturing into new sectors such as electric vehicles, robots, and digital health care. This initiative leverages advances in AI, semiconductor, and communications technologies, positioning electric vehicles as a central focus of the company's future growth.
