Mr. Witthaya Nititham, Director of the Legal Division and Spokesperson of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), mentioned the case of the prosecution of Thong Mae Tak or Ms. Korakanok and Mr. Kantpol or Pa Beer, which has a large number of victims, that today AMLO has received information about the case as coordinated from the police of the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPD) and the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB). The AMLO will examine whether all elements of the money laundering law are complete, in the case of fraud against the public and fraud that is of a normal nature, before submitting it for consideration by the Transaction Committee and the Asset Seizure Committee to take action against assets resulting from wrongdoing. The AMLO has been following up on the progress of the case and investigating whether there has been any asset transfer or not. Mr. Wittaya added that tomorrow (October 1) at 1:00 p.m., Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office, in her capacity as the supervisor of the Consumer Protection Board (CPB), has invited Mr. Thepsu Bovornchotidara, Secretary-General of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), to discuss at Government House to find a way to proceed with the Mae Tak gold case and solve the problems for the people.
