KB Financial Group Inc. on Tuesday reported its second-quarter net income of 1.71 trillion won (US$1.2 billion), up 13.7 percent from a year earlier. KB Financial said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the April-June period rose 12.2 percent on-year to 2.3 trillion won. Sales increased 25.3 percent to 19.91 trillion won. The earnings beat market expectations.
