A group of housewives in Dok Kham Tai District, Phayao Province, have come together to produce hand-woven fabrics dyed with natural colors. They have now developed various royal fabric patterns that are accepted by the province and are now 5-star products that can be sold to generate income. The hand-weaving group of Ban Mai Charoen Rat, Village No. 5, San Khong Subdistrict, Dok Kham Tai District, Phayao Province, has been dyeing fabrics with natural methods and natural colors, and weaving fabrics by hand for over 20 years and has been continuously developing them. They have woven and sold the royal fabric patterns as products that have been accepted. They have also received the 5-star OTOP product award and many other awards. The president of the Ban Mai Rat Bamrung Weaving Group said that the weaving group started when a women's group was established in 1989. People in the village already weaved fabric, so they joined together to earn extra income besides farming. Most of the products are sarongs, turtl e scale pattern shawls, Panwa cloth, plain cloth for cutting clothes, scarves, and various royal pattern sarongs, such as Siriwanwali, Dok Rak Ratchakanlaya, and Siriwan Wacharaphon. The majority of the customers are government officials. In addition, they also sell products on social media under the name of Isan Lanna products. Prices start at 150 baht and go up to 300-500 baht.
