Netflix's period drama "Uprising," produced by "Decision to Leave" director Park Chan-wook, will be released Oct. 11, the global streaming service said Friday. Starring Gang Dong-won and Park Jeong-min, the action-packed film is set during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and follows the story of two childhood companions -- one a master (Park) and the other a servant (Gang) -- who reunite as enemies in the midst of war. Directed by Kim Sang-man, the film was co-written by Park, known for "Oldboy" (2003) and "The Handmaiden" (2016), who also served as its producer. "Uprising" has been selected as the opening film for this year's Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which kicks off early next month. Source: Yonhap News Agency
