Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Indonesia (NOC Indonesia) Raja Sapta Oktohari, during a press conference here, Friday, outlined three challenges for improving Indonesia's sports achievements on the global stage.Oktohari deemed that the sports budget is the biggest current challenge since the figure is below 0.01 percent of the state budget. Hence, NOC Indonesia will continue to encourage the government to increase the sports budget in line with achievement of the growth target. "Earlier, we already delivered the initiatives to the head of DPD (Regional Representative Council) and to the youth and sports minister," he remarked. "We told them that our challenge in the future is the fact that improving achievement is inseparable from the budget, and we need support from everyone," he added. Moreover, the budget is inseparable from the Grand Design of National Sports (DBON) which, according to Oktohari, must be flexible and adjust to the existing dynamics.
