Northern Taiwan to Experience Showers Amidst Temperature Variations

Yilan:Northern Taiwan will experience local showers on Thursday, with weather conditions expected to stabilize in the following days, as stated by the Central Weather Administration (CWA).

According to Focus Taiwan, despite a weakening northeasterly monsoon on Thursday, increased moisture levels will lead to localized showers in areas such as Keelung's northern coast, the mountainous regions of Greater Taipei, eastern Taiwan, and the Hengchun Peninsula. Yilan is anticipated to receive the most significant rainfall.

Temperatures in northern and northeastern Taiwan are expected to remain relatively low, with highs between 28-30 degrees Celsius. In contrast, central and southern Taiwan will experience warmer highs of 32-33 degrees on Thursday. Following this, from Friday through Tuesday, moisture levels are projected to decrease, resulting in sunny to cloudy skies.

Localized showers will continue in eastern Taiwan and the Hengchun Peninsula, and sporadic showers are expected in the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan. From Friday, daytime temperatures could exceed 30 degrees across Taiwan, with central and southern areas reaching highs of 33-35 degrees. The day-night temperature variation will be especially noticeable in western Taiwan, with lows of 23-25 degrees.

Some regions might experience temperatures dropping below 20 degrees Celsius due to radiative cooling.
