South Korean pistol shooter Kim Ye-ji, who won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, collapsed during a news conference in the southwestern county of Imsil on Friday but recovered shortly after. Kim, who captured the silver medal in the women's 10-meter air pistol shooting at the Paris Summer Games, suddenly collapsed in a convulsion during her news conference at a shooting range in Imsil, 218 kilometers south of Seoul, around 11 a.m. Officials immediately reported the incident to the 119 rescue service and she recovered about 10 minutes later at the scene. Kim has emerged as a sensation on social media after a video of her setting a world record in the 25m pistol during a World Cup event in Baku in May, all the while maintaining the cool, detached look of someone who couldn't care less, went viral on X. Even the owner of the social media platform, Elon Musk, chimed in with a comment, "She should be cast in an action movie. No acting required!" Source: Yonhap News Agency
