OR and GC, together with the Bang Yo community and relevant agencies, are extending the 'Say Goodbye to Chao Phraya, Say Goodbye to River Trash' project, focusing on raising awareness and developing knowledge, leading to actual practice in properly separating trash for recycling and upcycling. Ms. Wanwisak Susuphart, Manager of Sustainability and Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and Environment, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), together with Ms. Sunattha Sukthai, Manager of Circular Economy, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), and Mr. Sompong Rasamitat, Mayor of Bang Yo Subdistrict Administrative Organization, jointly organized a workshop on waste separation, which is part of the 'Say Goodbye to Chao Phraya and Say Goodbye to River Trash' project at the Bang Krachao Learning Center in Samut Prakan Province. This is an extension of the cooperation under the signing of the Memorandum of Intent on Marine Waste Management with the Participation of All Sectors in the Estu ary, initiated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. In the past, OR and GC have jointly implemented a project in the area of ??Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok, Bang Nam Phueng Community, Samut Prakan Province, which is considered a prototype project area to campaign for communities to help collect waste in the river for proper management, which has received good feedback from the community. This extension of the project 'Tell Rak Chao Phraya, Say Goodbye to River Waste' focuses on waste separation and creating added value from waste separation. The main activities include a workshop on waste separation and raising awareness of waste management for the community and waste separation staff of Bang Yo Subdistrict Administrative Organization, so that trainees will receive knowledge transfer from experts, leading to sustainable solutions to waste problems. Waste from proper separation will enter the recycling and upcycling process under the 'GC YOUturn Platform' and add value by producing upcycling produ cts. OR and GC plan to expand the project area to neighboring communities or other areas of the Chao Phraya River to jointly develop knowledge on waste management with communities in a tangible way, leading to efficient and sustainable management of waste in the sea at the river mouth.
