Most of them agreed that Thailand had previously experienced flooding during the rainy season and experienced drought and water shortages every year. Therefore, they asked the new Cabinet to plan water management systematically and sustainably. As for solving the immediate problem, the MPs asked the relevant agencies to plan to cope with the amount of water from the North that will flow down to the Chao Phraya River basin to reduce the impact on the people as soon as possible. They also asked the government to urgently provide assistance to the people by coordinating with the Provincial Electricity Authority and the Provincial Waterworks Authority to reduce electricity and tap water bills for people in flood-stricken areas.
