Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, acting on behalf of the Prime Minister, attended the parliamentary meeting to consider the draft budget bill for fiscal year 2025. He traveled to Government House to chair the cabinet meeting at 10:00 a.m., with 9 agenda items for consideration, 14 items for acknowledgement, and 2 items for information. Today, 6 ministers have reported their absence from the cabinet meeting: Mr. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy; Ms. Supamas Isaraphak, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Minister of Commerce; Mr. Surasak Pancharoenvorakul, Deputy Minister of Education; Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance; and Pol. Gen. Patcharawat Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources a nd Environment, whose names have been removed from the ministerial positions. The reporter reported that in this Cabinet meeting, chaired by Mr. Phumtham, it is expected that this may be the last Cabinet meeting before the new Cabinet of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, takes office.
