Tragic! Drunk pickup truck crashes into mother and child riding a sidecar. The mother dies on the spot, the child is injured, while the driver flees, leaving the pickup truck behind, but the police are able to arrest him immediately. On the evening of September 6, 2014, in front of the Ban Khao Wong community, Khao Hin Son Subdistrict, Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province, CCTV captured the moment when a motorcycle sidecar was waiting for a chance to turn into an alley when suddenly an orange pickup truck drove into the opposite lane and crashed into it with full force, causing the elderly woman sitting in the sidecar to be thrown from the vehicle and hit the ground, killing her instantly. The son, the driver of the sidecar, had a tight chest and was shocked by the incident. The pickup truck driver fled towards Phanom Sarakham District. Locals in the area where the incident occurred rushed to see the scene and called the Khao Hin Son Police Station and rescue workers to provide assistance. Late r, someone reported finding a suspicious car abandoned near a tire shop on Highway 331. Khao Hin Son Police Station officers and Phanom rescue volunteers went to inspect the scene but did not find the driver in the car, so they went on foot to search for it in the forest. They found two men who admitted to being the drivers. They smelled of alcohol and admitted that they had been drinking. The police took both drivers to the police station to proceed with the case.
