Raise funds to help fire victims

Bangkok, Many agencies are mobilizing to help victims of the fire in the Trok Pho community in Yaowarat area at the Joint Command Center, Wat Sampanthawong. Donations can be made at the donation point to help victims at Wat Sampanthawongsaram Worawihan (Wat Ko) 24 hours a day. At 10.30 a.m., Dr. Wanthanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, visited the disaster relief center for victims of the fire incident in the Trok Pho community in Yaowarat area, Samphanthawong District at 9.39 p.m. on the night of July 6. Admiral Kaneepon Songcharoen, Director of the Royal Volunteer Center, Mr. Wallop Kiettiworasrikul, Director of Samphanthawong District, along with executives from the Social Development Office and executives from Samphanthawong District, visited Wat Samphanthawong Worawihan (Wat Ko), Song Sawat Road, Samphanthawong District. The Permanent Secretary of Bangkok revealed that initially, he had analyzed the overall situation to prepare to set up a joint command center to help victims and receive don ations at Wat Sampanthawong, with relevant agencies such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the Department of Health, the Sampanthawong District Office, and the Center for Accelerated Public Welfare Management in the area. From the initial survey, it was found that there were 44 households, 166 people affected by the disaster, whose houses were damaged. Currently, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security is in the process of collecting additional information and holding a meeting to summarize the results of the assistance with relevant agencies and coordinating with the Samphanthawong District Office to provide further assistance. Currently, the police are urgently investigating the cause of the fire, and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, together with the Samphanthawong District Office, are in the process of registering the victims to provide initial assistance. In addition, a royal kitchen has been set up and donations of consumer goods have been accepted at the donation center for disaster victims at Wat Sampanthawong. Currently, the BMA is organizing donations and preparing to set up a joint command center to help victims. Initially, they are separating the accommodation for men and women and for families, and are urgently procuring additional fans. Public Health Center 13 will be providing medical treatment. Currently, the BMA is assessing the adequacy of the bathrooms and toilets, and is preparing to procure additional mobile toilets in case the bathrooms at Wat Sampanthawong are not sufficient. The Permanent Secretary of Bangkok emphasized that all agencies should help the victims as much as possible, considering that everyone is a victim.
