"Suriya" is preparing to hold a meeting of the Disaster Relief Fund Committee to provide assistance to families affected by the fire incident of a school bus carrying teachers and students tomorrow. Ms. Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol, Inspector-General of the Prime Minister's Office and Acting Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that in the case of the school bus carrying teachers and students catching fire while traveling on a school trip, resulting in many injuries and deaths, Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, has ordered the Disaster Relief Fund Committee of the Prime Minister's Office to prepare to hold a meeting of the committee to consider providing assistance to the families of the deceased and injured from the incident on October 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Meeting Room 109, Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister's Office Inspector General continued that the Prime Minister expressed his condolences to t he families of the injured and deceased by ordering Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, and Ms. Sabida Thaiset to personally visit the scene. The government will cover the medical expenses and provide compensation to the families of the injured and deceased, and will closely monitor the situation and find ways to prevent a repeat of the incident.
