Taiwan Lottery Unveils New Scratch-Off Games with Over NT$1.9 Billion in Prizes

Taipei: Taiwan Lottery Corp. has launched two new scratch-off games offering total prize money exceeding NT$1.9 billion (US$60 million).

According to Focus Taiwan, the company announced in a press release on Tuesday that the new games, "Mahjong Big Bingo" and "Gold Diamond 999," are priced at NT$300 and NT$200, respectively. The "Mahjong Big Bingo" game features bingo tables with designs inspired by mahjong, including three "FREE" symbols to enhance the chance of forming winning lines. Players can win up to NT$3 million, with a minimum prize of NT$300, and the game boasts a 36 percent overall winning rate.

In contrast, the "Gold Diamond 999" scratch cards offer prizes starting at NT$200, with a chance to win one of three top prizes worth NT$2 million each. This game has an overall winning rate of 27.55 percent, according to Taiwan Lottery Corp. Both games aim to attract a broad audience with their unique themes and lucrative prize structures.
