Taiwan Shares Close Down 1.2%

Taipei: Taiwan shares ended down 548.59 points, or 1.2 percent, at 45,308.68 Tuesday on turnover of NT$958.44 billion (US$30.10 billion). According to Focus Taiwan, the stock market in Taiwan experienced a decline as trading concluded, with the index dropping by 548.59 points. The total turnover for the day reached NT$958.44 billion, equivalent to US$30.10 billion.
