Taipei: Taiwan shares closed down 220.49 points, or 0.47 percent, at 47,105.78 on Tuesday. The turnover for the day amounted to NT$876.66 billion (US$27.80 billion).
According to Focus Taiwan, the market experienced a decline as trading continued with significant volume. Despite the dip, the total turnover reflects a robust level of activity in the market.
