Taipei:The Taiwan Stock Exchange's main index opened with a gain of 99.21 points, reaching 48,574.95 on Monday.
According to Focus Taiwan, the trading turnover at the opening amounted to NT$15.52 billion, equivalent to approximately US$487.08 million.
