Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality organizes the annual candle procession festival in 2024. This year, representatives from various temples from several districts sent candle processions to compete in all three categories. Each procession features intricate casting and carving of candles. Most of the processions tell stories about the life of the Buddha and Jataka tales. There was also a candle procession from Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, which carved the candles into dinosaurs, which attracted a lot of attention from parents and children. Each temple also organized beautiful performances, including people holding signs, dancers, and most importantly, each temple had to have a water tank truck to prevent the candles from melting. In addition to the candles being moist, the people and tourists were also cooled down. Source: Thai News Agency
