The Ministry of Transport has ordered the Highways Department and the Department of Rural Roads to survey roads and bridges damaged by flooding.

'Suriya' ordered the Highways Department and the Rural Highways Department to enter the area to help people affected by floods in the northern provinces, including Phuket. If any roads are damaged or bridge necks are broken, expedite the construction of Bailey bridges to allow people to travel temporarily. When the water level recedes, a damage survey should be conducted to make improvements and repairs. Today, the Minister of Transport visited Koh Samui to follow up on the progress of the road development plan to increase tourism potential and ordered both agencies to study the development plan for the north-south and east-west road s in the Koh Samui area to alleviate traffic problems on the roads around the island, where traffic volume has increased due to the number of tourists returning after the COVID-19 situation.
