From the case of 2 robbers who robbed a gold shop in a famous shopping mall in the middle of Ranong city on the morning of September 11, stealing a gold necklace worth no less than 62 baht before fleeing, officers later arrested Mr. Wirawut, age 41, and his niece, age 16. Most recently, Ranong Provincial Police officers brought the 2 robbers to reenact the gold robbery to support their confessions at 3 locations: the gold shop in the mall, the spot where the motorcycle was discarded, and the spot where the gold was buried. Pol. Col. Chetphong Chiwpreecha, Commander of Ranong Provincial Police, revealed that the total weight of the recovered gold was 52 baht, with cash remaining from selling the gold worth more than 20,000 baht.
