Villagers in Wiang Yong Subdistrict, Mueang Lamphun District, fled the floods by pitching tents on the road. This morning, the water level dropped by 20 cm., but is still 72 cm. above the critical level. The Kwang River has flooded Lamphun City for the 7th day. It is starting to smell. Villagers in Wiang Yong Subdistrict have had to bring out tents to sleep on the road in front of the Lamphun City District Office. Government agencies have put up signs warning people to drive slowly for safety and to prevent noise and smoke pollution, which are harmful to health. This morning, the Mae Kuang water level station P.5, Saphan Tha Nang, Tambon Nai Mueang, Amphoe Mueang Lamphun, was at 5.72 meters, down 20 centimeters from yesterday, but still 72 centimeters above the critical level of 5 meters.
