Red Bull BC One Taiwan Qualifier to Feature Star-Studded Judging Panel

Taipei: The 2025 Red Bull BC One Cypher Taiwan, the nation's largest breaking qualifier, is scheduled to take place in Taipei on April 12. The event will showcase Olympian B-Boy "Quake" Sun Chen as part of the esteemed judging panel.

According to Focus Taiwan, a total of sixteen B-Boys and eight B-Girls, selected from a pool of 200 competitors, will compete at Legacy TERA in Nangang District. They will vie for coveted spots in the World Final, which will be held in Tokyo this November.

Joining Sun on the judging panel will be South Korean B-Boy Hong10, a three-time world champion, and Japanese B-Boy Nicolas. Sun, who won the 2024 Outbreak Europe championship, expressed his excitement about the competition and the potential for Taiwanese breakers to excel.

Sun, who is 25, stated that he has no plans to retire and aims to continue dancing, with hopes of achieving further international success and earning additional wild card entries.

Sun represented Taiwan in breaking at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where the sport made its debut. Following his Olympic appearance, he reached the final of The Notorious IBE and secured his first world-class title at Outbreak Europe 2024, which earned him a wild card entry to the Red Bull BC One World Final.
